The Stateline 1 Fuels reduction project has been completed. This project consisted of 70 acres of Cut to Length mechanical tree removal, which was followed by mechanical mastication of the slash and residual brush. In addition, 35 acres had a hand thinning and piling treatment in the Edgewood Creek area of the project. The project will modify fire behavior in this area and reduce the chance of a fire start in this areas traveling up the Edgewood Creek and Kingsbury corridors. This project is a Community Wildfire Protection plan project and was funded by the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act with a matching contribution by the property owner. This project protects the communities of Stateline, Lake Village, Chimney Rock, and the Kingsbury neighborhoods.
